For the best results while working with a Dual Action Variable Speed Polisher there are a few techniques to keep in mind: 1. Monitor how much pressure you're applying and make sure the backing plate always continues to spin. 2. Clean Disc/Pad frequently with compressed air or a soft nylon brush. 3. Work in a small area. You want to work in approximately a two foot by two foot section with three to five overlapping passes. Before polishing thoroughly, wash and dry your car with a premium car wash soap and wash mitt like Meguiar's Microfiber Wash Mitt, and dry it gently with a quality microfiber drying towel like Meguiar's Water Magnet Drying Towel. Next, inspect the paint for above surface bonded contaminants. Work a 2x2 ft area with 3-5 overlapping passes using light to moderate pressure. Wipe polish off before it dries with a Supreme Shine Microfiber Towel. Work in sections over the vehicle. Follow with Meguiar's Ultimate Wax and DA Finishing Disc for long-lasting polymer protection after removing all light defects. 3. To remove moderate to heavy paint defects – Use Meguiar's Ultimate Compound with a Meguiar's Soft Buff DA Cutting Disc. Apply compound directly to disc and set the MT300 between 4800 and 5800 OPM's. Work a 2x2 ft area using moderate pressure with 3-5 overlapping passes, each overlapping by 50%. Wipe off compound before it dries with a Supreme Shine Microfiber Towel.
