Product Description

10/2 AWG Safety Duplex Cable - Red/Yellow - 250'

Duplex Boat Cable is used in low voltage AC applications as well as DC circuits.  Pacer manufactures 10 AWG Duplex boat cable in house in the USA for the best quality.  First, the cable is built from finely stranded, Type III tinned copper conductors.  These conductors allow for flexibility and help to prevent corrosion.

The PVC jacket helps 10 AWG Duplex Boat Cable to be flexible while preventing moisture from accumulating.  How does it do that?  During the extrusion process, the spaces between wires are filled.  This leaves no space for moisture or air to accumulate.  After that, a talcum powder coating is given to the interior wires. This coating is used to allow the outer jacket to be easily removed.  Just another reason 10 AWG Duplex boat cable is perfect for marine use.

Pacer's marine wire exceeds the requirements and standards of UL, ABYC, and NMMA.

Correctly Striping Duplex Boat Cable (01:26)
Safely stripping duplex boat cable is simple when you have the right tools. We are going to need two types of tools; a cable cutter and a wire stripper. For the cutters, we will use high-leverage cable cutters. We will start by measuring our cable. Be sure to add an extra inch or two. It's better to have your cable slightly too long rather than slightly too short. The high leverage cable cutter will cut through the multi-conductor cable with ease. Next, we will remove the outer jacket. If needed you can make a slit between the conductors to make the removal easier. With the outer jacket removed, we can use our wire strippers on the internal conductors. For this, we'll use our compact wire stripper as it covers the gauge sizes we will be working with. After figuring out the correct amount of insulation to strip, we will use our strippers to cut the insulation while pulling it away from the main section which exposes the internal conductors. Now we will repeat the process on the remaining wires. And that's it. With the proper tools, you can safely cut and strip duplex boat cables without damaging the insulation or the internal conductors. You'll find the boat cable and the tools you've seen here, at PacerGroup.net music: https://www.bensound.com
