Q: Is it a hollow pole or a solid pole?

Q: How is it powered?

A: The River Stick is not powered. There is no battery and no electric. It is all manually operated by the use of a pulley system

Q: How heavy is the River Stick?

A: The River Stick weighs approximately 6 lbs.

I wanted a simple and effective anchoring system for the river and found the perfect solution with the river stick. No batteries and power needed which was important as well. Bernie is also one of the nicest people you will ever meet

  2. Fantastic and well worth the price!!! 5 Star Review

I have used this river stick in the Potomac, and Shenandoah rivers. This works great, very simple, and holds the kayak in all but the fastest currents. I did loop a heavy rubber band on the top to cut down on some of the noise of it shaking while in fast or choppy water.
